Video Tour of Point Sure Lighthouse – But see it in person if you can!

Light house first had the light turned on in August of 1889.  They call it the triplex. Restoration projects are going on now. Have finished the building and are now putting up tools for display.  Have 65 total volunteers, 10 or 12 are preservation volunteers do everything from cleaning to minor repairs, do almost all the routine maintenance .  Others give tours. This is an all volunteer staff state park. The lighthouse tower – just the metal work will cost about a third of a million dollars to restore.
