Elkhorn Slough Video

Elkhorn Slough is one of the largest and last remaining coastal wetlands in California. It is one of only 17 estuarine reserves in the US. Located at the center of Monterey Bay, it is home to all kinds of wildlife – otters, sea lions, 350 species of birds, fish and hundreds of invertebrates. In 2008 it was also designated as a marine protected area. To learn more visit: www.mbnmsf.org and www.elkhornslough.org . Produced by Kip F. Evans

Only a half hour drive from the Monterey Peninsula is Moss Landing. A little spot along the beach south of Santa Cruz. Lots of wildlife and birds to be found in this quaint little beach town close by the Monterey Peninsula. Nice video of Moss Landing highlights.
